The mission of the Contracts Group is to ensure that Columbia University and New York Presbyterian Hospital are adequately protected by the terms of clinical trial agreements as well as ensure compliance with applicable University and Hospital policy.  We also endeavor to be efficient and to meet needs of the investigators.

The members of the Contracts Group review, draft, and negotiate clinical trial agreements, master agreements, non-disclosure agreements, sub-contracts, and material transfer agreements.  We recognize that our primary clients are the research faculty and staff at Columbia University Medical Center and the New York Presbyterian Hospital, and that timely contract execution is essential to furthering the goal of promoting public health through scientific research. 

We recognize that issues regarding indemnification, publication, and other provisions may affect the timeframe in finalizing a contract, and we will work towards finalization as efficiently and accurately as possible.
